Táncpartnerem

Ragyogó táncpartnerem

Jump to the English version >>>

Megírtam magyarul. Azt hittem, készen vagyok. Másnap is foglalkoztatott a téma, így megszületett az angol változat…

Békésen vár szokott helyén
A zajban is csöndes, szerény
Elegáns a bársony szoknya
Mintha egy királynő volna

Formás teste vonzza szemem
Hívogatja zajos lelkem
Szinte izzik, úgy világít
Csak őt nézem, csak ő számít

Nem tud járni, fa a lába
Úgy hívogat, mintha várna
Mikor végre megérintem
Izgatottan dobog szívem

Óvatosan átölelem
Félve tartja mindkét kezem
Mint víz hűsít a mély kútból
Felüdít a napi búból

A világot másként látom
Ragyogóan szép virágom
Tartom óvva, meghatódva
Csak mi vagyunk, én s a Tóra

My Shining Dance Partner

First the Hungarian version was ready. The next day I made the English translation, may I say I rewrote it in another language.

She is peaceful and looks proud
Quiet in the noisy crowd
In long skirt she rules the scene
Waiting there like a queen

Her heavenly body, what a joy
Attracts my seeking soul
She glows, she radiates light
To admire her is a delight

She can’t walk on her feet of wood
She would call me if she could
When I touch her as invited
My heart beats, I am excited

I embrace her with much care
Keeping in my arms as I dare
Like pure water from a deep well
Brings me out from burning hell

I feel like an eager lover
With my brilliant lovely flower
I hold her circling like in the hora
Just the two of us, me and the Torah

Hora: The hora (sometimes called Jewish Dancing or Israeli Dancing) is a highly energetic Israeli circle dance.
